TABC Staff Recommends Withdrawing Proposed Gun Show Amendments.

The proposed amendments to TABC Administrative Rule 36.1 (Possession and Sale of Firearms on Licensed Premises) are being placed on the agenda for the September 23, 2014, Meeting of the Commissioners. The Commission Staff is recommending that the proposed amendments be withdrawn. The decision on what action to take will be made by the Commissioners. If the Commissioners vote to withdraw the proposed amendments, the current rule will remain in place.

TABC Was Experiencing E-mail Disruption.

The agency receipt of e-mails was disrupted this past weekend, but is currently working as expected. Responses to e-mails submitted to TABC from Saturday through Wednesday (August 30-September 2) may be delayed.

TABC requests public input on proposed rule change regarding alcohol sales at gun shows.

TABC is proposing amendments to TABC Administrative Rule 36.1 related to certain activities on TABC-licensed premises. These proposed rules were published in the Texas Register on August 8, 2014. New Law Change - Effective February 1, 2014
