EUDL Contracts Awarded

The following organizations have been awarded a Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Contract to conduct underage drinking enforcement operations and/or underage drinking prevention campaigns in their local areas. The organizations have partnered with their local TABC District Office for technical support as one of the conditions of funding. The time frame for these projects is July 1, 2010 – May 15, 2011, with various start and end dates for each project depending on the goal(s) and objective(s).

  • Waxahachie Police Department – Waxahachie Underage Drinking Enforcement: $14,624.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments and other evidence-based underage drinking law enforcement operations.
  • Burnet County Constable's Office – Booze Busters 2010: $4,786.39
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments and other evidence-based underage drinking law enforcement operations.
  • Grand Prairie Police Department – Special Events: $15,000.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct evidence-based underage drinking law enforcement operations at special events such as concerts that draw large crowds and provide alcohol.
  • Grand Prairie Police Department – Party Patrols: $15,000.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct controlled party dispersals and party patrols.
  • Grand Prairie Police Department – Compliance Checks: $16,655.63
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments.
  • Mission Police Department – Sober Teens: $10,000.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments and provide underage drinking prevention presentations to local youth (high school and college students).
  • El Paso County Sheriff's Office – Operation Sting: $10,000.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments.
  • Nacogdoches Police Department – PRIDE: $10,000.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments and other evidence-based underage drinking law enforcement operations, specifically party patrols.
  • Corsicana Police Department – Enforcement of Underage Drinking Laws: $5,614.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments and other evidence-based underage drinking law enforcement operations.
  • Wills Point Police Department – EUDL Wills Point: $10,000.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments and other evidence-based underage drinking law enforcement operations. Retailer and underage drinking youth education will also be conducted.
  • Midland Police Department – Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws: $15,000.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks on local retail establishments and fatal vision educational presentations to youth.
  • Port Isabel Police Department – Operation Take Down: $14,600.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments and other evidence-based underage drinking law enforcement operations.
  • Houston Police Department – Deterring and Reducing Youth Alcohol Promotion and Access: $10,000.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments. Those that are in non-compliance will endure consequences, such as citations and/or arrest.
  • Collin County Sheriff's Office – Underage Drinking Enforcement: $10,000.00
    Funding has been provided to conduct compliance checks (minor stings) on local retail establishments, week end party patrols and extra patrols at special events such as concerts and sporting events where underage participants could be around beverages containing alcohol.
  • Levelland ISD – Proud Lobos Against Drinking (PLAD) $14,516.00
    Funding has been provided to educate middle and high school students on the harmful effects and laws pertaining to underage drinking. The school district will utilize a variety of evidence-based underage drinking prevention strategies and materials to accomplish this.
  • University of Dallas – We CARD: $14,985.00
    Funding has been provided to increase the underage drinking enforcement initiatives at campus sponsored events where alcohol is present. The project augments UD's prevention activities and the AlcoholEdu program currently required of all incoming students. The prevention activities educate students about University policies and state laws regarding alcohol and underage drinking.
  • Tarleton State University – Reducing Underage Drinking: $15,000.00
    Funding has been provided to educate incoming freshman students and their families on university enforcement policies and the legal consequences of underage drinking. This will be accomplished through presentations at freshman seminar classes, Greek recruitment, Residential Living/Learning leadership training and Family Weekend.
  • University of Texas San Antonio – Party on the Paseo: $15,447.00
    Funding has been provided to host an alcohol free event for youth (college students under 21) on April 14, 2011 during the week of Fiesta in San Antonio. Party on the Paseo will provide students with an alternative event to attend keeping them safely on campus and away from the festivities at the Riverwalk.
  • Texas Woman's University – TWU CARES: $15,000.00
    Funding has been provided to increase the underage drinking enforcement initiative on campus and provide a variety of alcohol related educational opportunities to students. This is a joint collaboration between DPS and Student Health Services.
